Terms & Conditions

  1. ADVANCE BOOKINGS. Deposits are non refundable. The balance of the hire charge must be paid 28 days before commencement of your holiday. If the holiday is cancelled the deposit is forfeit. We will endeavour to re-let the accommodation. If we cannot do so then the balance must be paid. We recommend that you take out holiday insurance to cover cancellation.
    If booking less than 10 days before your holiday starts payment can only be accepted in cash on arrival at Seaview. Sorry we do not accept debit or credit cards.
  2. BOOKINGS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED from under 25 year olds or from single sex groups.
  3. OUR COTTAGES are normally let to a maximum of six people. Please do not exceed this number.
  4. SMOKING is not permitted in the cottages. If smoking outside please dispose of cigarette ends sensibly (it is litter). Do not put them in any of the cottage bins.
  5. DOGS. One well behaved dog is welcome at Heron Cottage. There is a charge of £30 per week (or part week). Separate conditions apply.
  6. COTTAGES ARE AVAILABLE ON THE FIRST DAY OF HIRE FROM 3PM. Please do not arrive before this time (unless we have informed you that your cottage will be available earlier). We ask you to vacate your cottage by 10am on your day of departure.
  7. PARKING IS AVAILABLE for one car outside the cottage. Any other vehicles can be parked on the nearby public car park.
  8. COTTAGES must be kept in a clean and tidy condition. Any breakages or damage caused by the hirer or their party must be reported to the cottage owners and paid for.
  9. THE MANAGEMENT RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ADMISSION if it deems it necessary. In such circumstances no refunds will be made.
  10. LIABILITY. The owners and management of Heron & Kingfisher cottages accept no responsibility for loss or damage of any property belonging to the hirer or any member of their party and cannot accept liability for any loss or injury caused to the hirer or any member of their party occasioned by the negligence of the hirer or such other users of the cottage.
  11. IF THE PROPERTY IS UNAVAILABLE due to damage by fire, storm, flood or other reasons beyond the owners control the hirer will be refunded all monies paid. The owner’s liability is limited to refunding such monies.

Dog Conditions

Your well behaved dog is very welcome to stay at Heron cottage – subject to the following conditions:

  1. No large, powerful or dangerous breeds of dogs can be accepted – please contact us for acceptable breeds.
  2. Please bring a basket / bed and bedding for your dog.
  3. Dogs must never be allowed to go on to beds, bedding, seating or work surfaces.
  4. Your dog must never be left unaccompanied in the cottage.
  5. Please keep your dog on a lead outside the cottage and not allow it to wander onto adjoining properties.
  6. Please pick up and dispose of your dogs waste away from the cottage. Please do not put it in the cottage dustbin, there are dog bins in the area.
  7. Please clean your dog’s feet after a muddy walk.
